Mr. Dead Poetz article

This is my first attempt @ writing an article. The focus is on the local rap tallent here in Harrisburg PA. It is unfinished, but tell me what you think so far.

The lights dim, and for just a brief moment the world suddenly falls silent. Like the calm before a great storm, or the seconds before a climbing roller coaster begins it's descent down the first colossal hill, everyone on the club floor braces themselves for what is about to happen next. The crowd erupts like a once dormant volcano, as the pyrotechnics light up the stage with sparks, mist, & pulsating strobe lights. Like a God amongst men, the performer that they have all come to see steps out of the mist with a fiery glare in his eyes. As if fueled by his very appearance, the crowd's cheers grow even louder than before. Then the rumbling ceases, and the poet that now stood before them, raises the microphone. The audience had waited for this moment all night, and though weary from dancing through act after act, they were ready to do it all over again. The show had only just begun.
Suddenly the speakers explode with rhythm & base, as the modern day poet known as A.B.K speaks his words at the old Hardware Bar in Lancaster PA on Jan 10th 2009.
The show opened with local hip hop artist, and close friend, Mr. Dead Poetz. He serenaded the crowd with an intro track of adrenaline fueled snare and base titled, Thy Introduction. A perfect choice to ignite the restless crowd, after a long delay do to technical complications. Almost instantly, he began to draw the crowd, and by the time he had reached the climax of his performance, they were all moving. His final track, Photo Album, surly caught their attention as they all obeyed the young Poetz command when he invited them to hold One Finger in the Air in celebration.

Check out Mr. Dead Poetz on April 7th @ The Chameleon Club in Lancaster PA. Get tickets & info from the man himself @ mrdeadpoetz@yahoo.com
